Premier Studios is an official business, registered in the United States of America.

This document explains Premier Studio’s policies for competition, and who can or can't work for both us and our competitors.

Let's start from the basics,

1.1 What is competition? — Basics of the Business

As a real business, Premier Studios has 3 objectives.

• To survive in the market.
• To make good profit.
• To grow and expand our operation and operating sphere.

These are the very broad and basic objectives. Others, such as having a no carbon footprint and maintaining a healthy work environment, are equally as important to us, but those goals do not pertain directly to the concept of competition.

1.2 What is competition? How does it arise?

• Competition arises whenever at least two parties strive for a goal which cannot be shared — where one's gain is the other's loss.
• In the service team sector, it is nearly universal (with some edge case exceptions) that service teams offering a service always compete with every other service team offering that same service. For example, if Team A and Team B both provide graphic design services, they will be competitors; but if Team A offers graphic design but not videography, while Team B offers videography but not graphic design, they will not be competitors.
• Companies, teams, or other entities working in the same business model, industry, or category as ours are all competition.

2. When is competition a problem?

In a sector like this, competition is generally a good thing: it spurs companies to innovate, try new things, strive for higher quality, and provide better customer service. But at the same time, we need to protect the company from outsiders with malicious intentions who are trying to break things from inside, including the potential theft of ideas. This can be especially hard when we hire people who also work for or run competing parties.
